Wigtown Book Festival

The Wigtown Book Festival http://www.wigtownbookfestival.com is imminent and I am lucky enough to be performing at two very different events. The first is with members of our community choir Cairn Chorus, who , along with the Feral Choir and Damsel Jam, will be singing at Bladnoch Distillery under the guidance of Ali Burns on Sunday 29th September. Our own choir rehearsals for Christmas and Twelfth Night concerts start soon too.

A week later, I`ll be sharing an evening of Gaelic stories, songs and melodies with the wonderful writer Meg Bateman at Beltie Books in Wigtown. This venue is run by Andrew Wilson, Dumfries and Galloway`s very own Gaelic Development officer, and his partner Nick. Its a great second hand book shop and cafe – well worth a visit for the cake and coffee alone.
