May and June

Its been a very hectic but satisfying May and June so far playing for live local radio www.aliveradio.net  to advertise the Moniaive Folk Festival, teaching American folk revival songs in Bavaria, performing with the writer Tom Pow on a cycle of nesting poems for spring, singing with my local choir www.cairnchorus.co.uk and playing ‘The Song of the Oak and the Ivy’ with Corrina, Mary, Heather and Bill in the Dumfries and Galloway Arts Festival www.dgartsfestival.org.uk,  teaching the Glasgow Branch of the Clarsach Society and giving a concert with Gary West in his home town of Pitlochry to half his family and several old teachers !

I`m just back from teaching for the London and South East Branch of the Clarsach Society at the beautiful Oxonhoath Estate down in deepest Kent – lovely people, surroundings and food – and am now gearing up to sing for Allanton House`s annual Peace Prayer Ceremony www.worldpeace-uk.org where we parade the flags of every country of the world with the motto “May Peace Prevail on Earth”-  a really uplifting day.
